Disability focused coaching provides one on one coaching sessions to individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. This type of coaching focusing on helping clients who have recently acquired a disability, struggling to cope with their current disability, or caregivers who are uncertain how to best support their loved one with a disability.

What makes this type of coaching so unique is that it is provided by a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who specializes in working with individuals who have disabilities and has several years of experience. Additionally, it is provided by a qualified professional who has a first hand personal experience navigating their own disability.

This type of coaching provides individual sessions to assist individuals with disabilities on how to adjust and navigate life with a disability. Helps clients rediscover their identity, overcome barriers, re-establish independence, and navigate life with a disability. The ultimate goal is to empower these individuals by providing a safe space to discuss disability, acceptance, identity, barriers, disability anxiety, and assistance with resources and solutions. People with disabilities face completely different barriers then those without. Sometimes, you just need a place to process and figure out next steps.

Disability Focused Caregiver Adjustment Coaching
Note: Only for the parents or caregivers of individuals with disabilities

This type of coaching provides individual sessions to assist adults who are the parents or caregivers of individuals with disabilities. During these sessions, we coach parents and caregivers on topics surrounding grief, blame, shame, advocacy, support, impact of disability on family unit, and new disability based barriers while providing support with finding resources and solutions. Provides parents and caregivers a safe space to vent their frustrations and find meaningful solutions. Additionally, It helps to address how to create and implement reasonable expectations for children and older individuals with disabilities to avoid learned helplessness.
