Our Story
Bee Independent Academy, established in April 2025, was created by one woman’s dream to ensure all individuals feel prepared for the adult world and have an opportunity to embrace their independence. Specifically, she has a desire to foster the independence of individuals with disabilities and those without guidance who are often overlooked by society. Having a disability herself, she has dedicated her life to serving other individuals with disabilities and finding new ways to inspire. Thus this academy was born to foster the acquisition of life skills!

About Bee Independent Academy
Bee Independent academy is a program that provides transitional life skills counseling to both individuals with and without disabilities. Bee Independent Academy strives to promote purposes, passions, and professional growth through the acquisition of every day life skills. Students will virtually attend either 1-on-1 or group, instructor led sessions as well to further their knowledge and skills. Upon completion, students will be awarded a certificate of completion.
A Message From Our Founder
Hello, My name is Ayctivia Palmer
I am the founder of the Bee Independent Academy program within NGU Counseling. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and previous vocational instructor who has a passion for teaching transitional life skills to both individuals with and without disabilities! I enjoy seeing my students hard work yield the sweetness of independence!
